I would put it either next to the sub or on the other end (opposite) of the sub.
Sound wise it really doesn't matter.

On either side of the sub. I suggest using a slot port.

Oh, and the subs and the t/s params for them would be good too.

Umm if this is goin to be a daily driver then 40 hz is a lil high I think. IMO 28-35hz is a good daily driving range.

Well now since your going SPL in this setup then I would recommend up there around 38-42hz. I only said the numbers that I said is because im a SQ person. I like to actually hear the music and not only the bass;)

All you have to do is click the port type in the port specification screen or whatever it was. I cant remember, but like where in the top right corner where you tell it how long it is or whatever you just click that and it should change it for you. To get the tuning frequency that you want the pick one of the demensions that they give you then go to the box tab and look at the box tuning freq and just tweak the port dimensions till you get the tuning freq that you want. The longer it is the lower the tuning freq, remember that. As for l and w of the port, just start out at about 3x4 or so. If I could remember the website that you d/l it at then I would d/l it again and do it for ya.

If you can make a better drawing, I can help you out. It doesn't have to be perfect, or to scale, just clear. I imagine you will be using 3/4 mdf but let me know that too.
