View Full Version : Sealed box 1.75 cubic feet per section

I have a trunk with a MAX of 37 Wide, 16 Tall, & 34 Inches front to back floor space.

anyone have a good blueprint?:cool:

so according to that url if I where to build a box that was 16H/31W/16D with 3/4 MDF I would have a box with a total of 3.589 cubes total then I would take that and divide it by two giving me 1.7945 cubes. then do I take off another .75 for the MDF seperator?

To deduct the volume of the divided...
take the thickness (.75) x length x width and divide it by 1728. Then take your original number of 3.589 and subtract this new number (volume of the divider). That gives you total net volume of the enclosure. To get per chamber, simply divide it by 2 now.

Hope this makes sense...

hum it seems ill be needing a bigger box... I ended up with 1.4 and I need 1.75 thanks for all the post I hope to figure it out quick and get the hang of it all :D

it doesn't have to be EXACT to get the best performance from the sub/s

Yep, if you need 1.75, your right where you need to be. Before sub displacement, if thats not already figured in...

I was not sure how to do that or what it really is honestly, do you have any ref's I can look over to figgure that out. There will be hopefully 2x 15in Alpine Type Rs

with speaker displacement I am looking at a 1.5 cube per chamber, it seems I might need to increase the depth of the box

That's an old wives tale man . How is a 20-30 foot long wave going to form inside of a 1 cubic foot enclosure ? :)
