i need a box like this for a 12" L5 and its in a single cab tuck would it matter maybe if i built it a little longer and made the top shorter than the bottom?

Sure thing:D Just make sure theres enough mounting depth for your sub. The box shape doesn't make much differance as long as you get the right amount of airspace

im trying to fit 3 cu ft for the L5 in a single cab f-150. Kicker manual says you may put polyfill with mesh grill by the port. Whats this do?

polyfill will fool your subs into thinking that it's in a larger chamber than it really is...

but it can also upset your port tuning, as the port is designed for that specific volume...

can't go wrong with lots of polyfill in sealed chambers, but for ports, I guess you would need a very good program to determine the exact amount of polyfill to stuff inside the box...

good luck with it!~

Yea just wondering cause kicker says you can put poly in the ported box.
