Too big!

my alpine HU is too big for the hole in my explorer.(2000)
its a 1.5 DIN i think and its about a half inch too wide and about an inch too short. any ideas?

If its a 1.5 din its made for older chryslers and gms, not so much for fords. You could get it in there, but it would be a lot of work, and modification. You need to look into a din or some double dins for that explorer.

ive never had a problem fitting alpine units in my friends nor my explorer, or my girlfriends mirage, or my friends girlfriends sentra

just buy a double din kit and fit it into it, then make a trim piece out of raw abs plastic.

I have fit 1.5 DIN HU's into many double din openings.
