does 48 in length, 27.25 deep, and 46.5 high seems right for 25 cubic feet.

View Full Version : seem right?

If you used any of the box designers that are available on online, then you could of gotten the answer for yourself, not to mention the fact that you didn't even state that if they were ID or OD dims.

Length x Depth x Height ÷ 1728 = Cubic Feet

24.25x46.5x45=50743.125

50743.125/1728(cu.in. in 1^3)=29.37

29.37-3.3(port displacement)=26.07

26.07-1(sub displacement)=25.07ft^3 after displacements

you could of pmed me:rolleyes:

its standard. Its the number of cubic inches in a cubic foot.

It's 12^3.

There are 12 inches in a foot. You multiplied inches three times. That is inches*inches*inches = inches^3. Apply this back to 12 inches in a foot.

You could also just convert to feet at every step of multiplication.

(48/12)*(27.25/12)*(46.5/12) = cubic feet.

It's basic and simple algebra. Who said you would never use math in everyday life?

48 x 27.25 x 46.5 = 35.1 cu.ft. - OD Volume

46.5 x 25.75 x 45 = 31.1 cu.ft. - ID Volume

BTW Jellyfish, you pouched the math, it's 25.75" not 24.75"

its 24.25...i know that its a double baffle ;)

besides OD is 26 1/2 deep...i don't know where 27 1/4 came from...

unless he has a third baffle added on the front...
