View Full Version : Polyfill question

I have 2 8" sub boxes.
I put DynaXorb on the surface behind the subs.
Do I need to use any polyfill in addition or does the DynaXorb replace the polyfil?
Thanks for any help.

If your boxes are the right size for your sub, you're fine without polyfill.
Polyfill is useful if your box is on the lowend of an acceptable size as it fools the sub into thinking its in a slightly bigger box.

Thanks for the reply.
The boxes are on the small side.
So does the DynaXorb do the same thing as polyfill?

i dont think dynaxorb has anything to do with the polyfill. but i dont know what dynaxorb is but if you used it like i think you did then no the dynaxorb doesnt do the same thing.

Is the DynaXorb those pad like things that are attached to the inside wall?
If so, you can leave them in there and just add poly.
They wont hurt anything if they're stuck to the wall, and if they are what I think they are (that got kinda mangled), then they're designed to break up standing waves, which is a good thing.

If its fastened down, you're fine leaving it in and adding poly.
(Might actually help.)
Use about 3/4# to 1# per cubic foot.
1# is the textbook amount, but I've always found that much hard to stuff in a box.

It is glued down.
Thanks for the info!
