:word:, 8"+ gets pretty **** high. We charge around $140 for a 20' joint of 6" that is the good stuff... I can't dream of paying for a 10' or 20' joint of 16" :nutskick: . Check with whoever is in charge of your city water and see if they have some leftover they'd be willing to part with... may be able to get it for cheap if you look around.

After looking at the cost of pvc I decided I'd rather use a lot of 4" rather than pay for 6"+.

Hmm... different types/qualities of PVC = different price. The cheaper stuff is really all you would need for ports, though. Should be plenty strong enough...
