mounting question

I plan to mount my amp to the back seats. Is it better to mount it on a sheet of wood, then to the seats, or just mount it directly to the seat?

I just mount em to the seat.

i'd mount it to a piece of wood, with littel rubber spaces so there's ventelation under the amps.

carpet some wood. mount to seat. then mount amp to the wood no spacers needed. wont over heat.
