1. Good navigation system. I don't care if it's disk based or requires an addon. I just want a reliable GPS system that gives me the best route. Voice features are an added bonus.

2. Easy Sirius sattelite interface. I'm using a cheapo JVC head unit now, and navigating sirius is such a pain that I've stopped using it (even though I am still paying the subscription)....Now that I think about it I'd like this constraint to apply to the ipod interface of the head unit as well.

3. $500 - $1000 budget. a sleek touchscreen, and all the basic features are probably needed as well....TY!

Although, I will put in a good word for Jensen A/V units. They are easy to use and feature-packed for a low price. There is a navi add-on, but I have no experience with it, and have no comments on its accuracy or ease of use.

But for the $, the Jensens are hard to beat. Good quality, easy to use, nice screen.

I've thought about that Jensen unit, do you think it is actually worth it and would last for a while?

I used to install lots of em, and even used one in my car for a while. They are much better than I thought they would be. I didn't see any come back defective.

yea it's just the brand name barrier, when you think jenses you think low quality, but they are some nice looking head unit's.
