*THE BEAST being chained up and being pulled for it's new home in a 77 el camino* *not right now this 350 engine has normal heads but the heads will be pulled and will be putting bored out vette heads on that 350 to make it a 383:D.

Notes: me and my dad have many idea's for this engine the new vette heads that will go on soon making it a 383 , then an all chrome pulley system also with alternator bracket and timing chain cover . oh and so much more:D.

Erm, since when does changing the heads increase the 350 cubic inch displacement to a 383?

A 383 small block requires a stroker kit, which completely changes the internals of the engine (crankshaft, pistons, etc.)

The heads are bored out and will also have more work down to them and the block:).

Well, as long as you are changing the bore and stroke, then I guess it WILL be a 383. :)

But simply changing the heads will not increase the displacement.

That is what I was thinking, lol? But u dont need to bore to the block to get 383cuin,just a crank with a 3.75" stroke with proper clearence in the block, but since u are spending the money to get the clearence and what not but the stroke up to 3.85" and it will 396cuin which just happens to be a very power steet motormfrom my own findings.

Btw a stock gm 350 with standard bore 4.00" with a standard 3.48"stroke is 346cuin(iirc),bored .03 over pumps it up to around 355cuin,AH! I am drunk talkin **** loaded.327(big block killa) ftw/Peace
