So far I have bought the 6.5" Polk db650 for the front and 6x9" polk db 690 for the rear.

I realize that for the same price as the four speakers combined, I can have a comp set just for the front and then just get a sub.

What is your recommendation? Do you consider rear fill to enhance the overall sound quality or would you rather go with just fronts and a sub with no rear fill?

My choice would be:

1. Front and back coaxials, no sub.
2. Front comps, no rear fill, and a sub.

I have a 75x4 WRMS amp but this is not nearly enough to handle 2 10" subs because Crutchfield has MTX subs buy one get one free. I have to investigate my manual to see.

I was considering the dual voice coil sub like this one http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XnCCOwTXp6h/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=520&I=236XT1244
so that I could run them in parallel off the rear channel of my amp.

So really what would be the optimum choice?

But if you've already bought 4 coaxials, it's a little late to ask now, unless you're planning on returning them.

Also, there are cheaper places to buy from than Crutchfield, with wider selection. Check out the Top 10 Car Shopping Sites on the front page of caraudio.com

If you need an amp for your subs, a good low-cost choice is the Profile AP1000M, it will put out 500 WRMS, for $100:

Check if your 4x75 amp will bridge to 2x??? (probably 150+), then go with front components, the profile amp suggested by kross and whatever sub(s) you can afford/fit.
