I was just wondering if any of you have heard of Memphis audio products... Now I'm sure the name has been discussed but I really am in a hurry and can't find the time to search and figured I'd make a new thread.

a few things I'd like to know about them

1. Are they reliable
2. Are they good speakers?
3. Sorry I didn't search
4. Better/ worse than what other brands

thanks

Theyre not bad, but I would say theres alot more out there, and better too!

Whats your budget, what size and kind of speakers? Amped? Car?

Reliable? Definately
Good? You mean loud? Some of em. Clean? Absolutely
Underrated speakers. Good build quality. No complaints here. I love Memphis products.

In the grand scheme, there are better brands.. but for the price, they are awesome. I would rank someof them among higher end pioneers, polks, etc. The PR (power reference) though, i cant really compare anything with. Theyre very inexpensive with good performance. Not exaclty a waterfall of sound, but much better than OEM. M-Class and Multisync speakers are superb.

oh one more quick question... I'm truly in a hurry again (raelly)

what is the difference between 2way and 3way? Because the memphis's that replaced the pioneers I had are 2 way and the pio's were 3 way

Generally personal prefence, but it also depends on what pioneers.

Unless you're dealing with higher end (Rev or PRC) series pioneers, stay away from them.

Memphis makes awesome amps. I'm not a fan of the speakers or subs cuz i haven't heard any.
