For I believe $330 or so shipped, you can pick up a brand new set of Rainbow Powerline CMX 265's. The crossover for this set is built to handle higher power well, and the tweeter is very nice, crisp, and detailed.

I'm running a pair of these with bridged power of 200w X2, and they take it fine. I'm very pleased with them. Here they are on Rainbow's website:

Well, if you want comps that are comparable to CDT HD-62's, get another set of HD-62's:

The Soundz Good did a shi7 install and I guess they couldny take the pain anymore... Plus when I turned the volume up they cut off... I couldn't check because I really didn't feel like taking my doors apart and my sub boxes take up the whole trunk to remove... I hope those rainbows can take that type of power from that Sony amp....

I have these Infinity Reference for rears
9612i
Type: 6" x 9" 2-Way
Speaker Impedance: 4 Ohms
Power Handling: 100W RMS, 300W Peak
Frequency Response: 46Hz 21kHz
Sensitivity (2.83V, 1m): 92dB
Mounting Depth: 3" (77mm)
Cutout Diameter: 6-1/16" x 8-7/8"
(154mm x 226mm)

If I hook the components which are 4 ohm load and the 6x9's to the same 2 channel amp will i have problems or should work fine? amp specs at top of post...

You shouldn't hook 2 sets of speakers to a 2 channel amp. I think one of the problems with doing so is it can really mess up the crossover points with the tweeters and mids.

BLACK IS BLACK AND WHITE IS WHITE. CHOOSE. GOOD LUCK

good luck to you being banned. with your outlook on life, feelings about race, and your attitude, i'm sure you're used to it.

Back on topic, Siv- have you decided any more what you'd like to do?

LUST-Never mind your band-Idiot(Hopefully you will not reproduce ever)

The Rainbows would be a very good choice. I like the CDT's. Are you sure the speakers are blown or did it just fry the x-over, causing the speakers to quit working. The HD can take some power. If its just the x-over then that is a easy fix. If you still wanted more mid-bass I would look at the CDT M6, it will save you a few bucks. You can find them for $180 or so if you look around.

I have had Rainbows and CDT. I have been happy with both.

I love the Boston Pros I have, they can handle more power than they are rated for. Or I'm just lucky, running them at over 200rms no problem.

Glad Lust got banned, would have started a whole lotta **** if some were on at the time. Myself included, being white married to a black woman.

but back to the topic- Love the bostons and rainbows.

Lust = ownt

Now, on to the topic...

x4 or 5 or whatever on the rainbows.

OR! Grab a set of Eurosports from woofersetc. :D I love mine!

OR! The m6 CDT mids are a great option, and wont run you as much as a whole new comp set! In fact, that idea rocks...

As he mentioned earler, Latina33 recently got his CMX set installed in the front factory locations and has nothing but great things to say about them.

Hearing his direct comparisons between the SLC 265 Kicks and the CMX's on the same power, I'm still going to vote for either the CMX or the CMX Kicks.

DejaWiz

I made my mind up... I decided to go with the CDT M-6 midbass and 560i crossover combo from djdillidon.... I just can get away from CDT... I read reviews and post from just about every brand of comps and I think this will best suit my needs... As soon as I install them I will post pics and write a review...
