all i know is that its got a plexiglass front, and it sounds like the drunk incoherent bullshit warbling i put up with from my stepdad every day. what is it though? im about ready to steal a pre-fab from work and take an axe to it to find out.... someone please save me the trouble?

Bandpass uses two chambers and the cancellation between each tuned chamber is used to selectively pass only a certain range of frequencies. Very tough to do right because of the whole 2 chamber tuneing issue.

Although it is difficult to find that "sweet spot", once you do it WILL be louder than ported, despite what others may say.

But it will only be louder in that frequency range.....bandpass simply can't have as good as a result overall as a well-built ported/sealed box.

the comparison between natheo's step dad and a bandpass are completly wrong. No one should diss a bandpass that bad.:D

bandpass boxes arent all that hard to make. find your sweet spot(mine was 35 hz), then use winisd as a guide. its helpful if you use fiberglass, that way you can add/shave off to fit what you need. that and you can fill it with water and find out exactly what volume you got :)
