IVAw200 + blackbird or DNX7100

I have a w200 right now and im looking to get navigation.

Should i get the alpine portable blackbird navigation? If i get it do i need to dock it on my dash or can i put it in my glovebox docked?

You can put it in the glovebox.

Mine for example, I have my w200 in the dash, and the blackbird docked in the center console.
