I'm planning on installing a viper remote start/alarm on my car but it has a starter kill button. The key has to be turned forward, then the button pushed, then the car started. It won't even turn over if you don't hit the button. Will this affect the remote start portion of the alarm? How do I disable it or maybe even wire it into the alarm? Thanks guys

if you have to ask that then you take your car to shop and have it done.

If what your talking about is just a starter interupt, you can just wire your remote start behind the starter interupt (i.e. closer to the starter motor). if its something like a fuel cut off switch, which it doesn't sound like because your car would start then die right away if it was, then you would have to either remove it or wire in a relay that would push the button right before the remote start cranked.
Personally if it is a starter interupt I would remove it since the alarm itself has a starter kill.

well the car won't even turn over if I don't hit the button so I believe it's the first option you suggested. Like it will go into accessory but if I attempt to start it...nothing happens. So once I figure out which direction the wire is going, I can just tap the remote start in on the engine side of that wire? **** easier than I thought...thanks

Wow a push button switched hooked to a relay with the starter wire cut, tough to bypass... Anyone with any experience doing remote starts should be able to figure it out. Any aftermarket remote start that is half way decent will have anti-grind that you will ahve to cut the starter wire for anyways and wire up one wire to the key side and one side to the starter side.

If I don't already know, how am I supposed to ever learn? You guys weren't born with this knowledge...someone told you at some point. So instead of ridiculing me for not being born with the knowledge to install remote starts, why don't you offer some positive help and actually educate me?
