Has anyone heard when these are coming out? It seems like the date has slipped a few times.

From everything that I have seen regarding ID putting out new products I would not hold my breath. They are known for saying that a new driver is coming out and the timelines come and go. I am not saying it will never happen, I just would not wait.

Have heard these are now available as of the last couple of days.....I believe you can order them through woofersetc.com I'm interested in trying something new....so I might take a chance on them. Has anyone heard any news about these XS components...reviews/thoughts, etc.??

apparently not :)

woofersect is one of the only authorized ID stores, and they run http://www.imagedynamicsstore.com/ too.

but they are supposedly post production and almost ready to be on the shelves. from what i hear at least.

I heard end of this year for the IDQv3's, so wouldn't surprise me if the XS's came out around the same time.

Called woofersetc. com today, and they're available now. $479 for XS 6.5s I might try calling image dynamics themselves to verify.

One of the guys who tested it said that 1 XS mid was as good as his 2 CXS mids setup. But I heard this a while ago and never heard the speakers personally so iono.

those are some sharp looking x-overs....for the price they better sound ****ing good...wait the picture confuses me?!? it has the x-over coax 6.5 and what looks like a 5x7...is that the way it is suppose to be?

but i want to try the ID horn comps...that'd be something different

something different like what i have. they are fun. i wouldnt mind some IDQ8's with neo motors and less than 2.8 inches depth.

i wouldn't mind running your cd2 horns. :) ... with some of these XS mids. 8"XS would be sweet.

Anybody know if these are bi-ampable or available without crossovers?

todd.brust

so for $50 extra i get the tweets and crossovers, that makes sense. the 6x9 mids are cheaper than the 6.5's but the set is more expensive.

xs8 will be equivalant to the old idq8.

idq10v3 should be avaialble in days. parts in the buildhouse and production runs are being built to ship out to individuals\companies.

why all ID components are so pricey whats the special on them they have the best SQ over others? like raibow, focal, etc etc

Pue
07-31-2007, 02:23 PM
Actually MSRP on ID components are much less than focal and others. I think they're priced fairly for the most part.

you ever see the idq8's with a paper cone dvc 4ohm? high dollar!!!

Gary S

One word - overpriced... but so are most speakers these days. PPI 356cs have comparable sound at half the price and are actually available.

The xs appears to have the best 6X9 component set though.
