I'm not sure how much surface area to use for a single 10 because i've never built a box using round ports. Any idea what size I should use?

Thanks

you would only need a single 3 inch areo port :)

it depends on the woofer, here are some programs. http://www.carstereo.com/help2/Articles.cfm?id=31
http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=4

But these aernt 100% accurate. The program doesnt really know if you have a Sony or a DD

Nice find. It says that my minimum diameter should be 4.25" That seems big to me.

what woof? I would say most 10's a 4" would be plenty good.

im tellin ya man. you could probably get by with a 2 inch areo. but to be safe just go a single 3 inch :) You dont need a 4 inch areo unless your box is huge which i doubt

Alright, i'll look for a 3" aero. Any idea where i could get one at a good price?

I tried using 3" pvc and it has a lot of port noise... should I try two 3" ports or is the pvc causing the port noise not the diameter? I've checked a bunch of sources and they all say that a 3" port is too small for a 2 cubic foot enclosure and a 10" driver...

for 2cu' i'd go with about 24-30sq"...a 3" port is only like 7sq"....seems like a lot for a single 10" though.
