:confused:

What ever happened to the pioneer rev series? those seemed to be the best for the buck coaxes but almost no one carries them. What else would compare to them? i see alot of talk on polks, and infinity being decent for the money but nver heard a set...
i just need a decent set of 6.5" coaxes that can take up to 85w for under $100.

thoughts?

those are some solid coaxils, like i said before though Infinity, Polk, and MB Quart are good too, go out and listen to some of these speakers! Personal Preference is a factor!!!

If you can stretch your budget a little, definitely go with some comps. For that price range, I'll recommend, as I always do, the PG RSd65cd from www.onlinecarstereo.com (authorized retailer). Will run you $130 shipped.

Amp them and you will have some fairly pounding midbass and smooth highs.

Can you save up for another week or two to make up the difference? It would be well, well worth it IMO.

Hate to thread-jack, sqhertz....

JLa Obsessed: in your FS thread you really should put in bold lettering that it is for the mids only. Just a friendly suggestion... ;)

From an economic standpoint, if sqhertz buys your mids for $70, gets some decent tweeters (about $50 at least), and figures out a crossover shceme ($???), it's going to cost way more than $100-$130.

midwoofer =/= coaxial

If he were to just install those JL mids, he would have no highs. :fyi:
