Sure wish I could read Japanese..
This ain't no typical crutchfield pioneer stuff.
Looks a lot like the P9 but I'm not so sure.. Maybe just a Japanese market version?
Looks dead **** in black though.

That's some serious love-child of Dex/Deq P9 quality and technology mixed with Zapco style amps with digi-in's and processing.. Yikes!~

More than my car's worth. hehe

I did also see they had a face that looked like an 880, but black with a P9 style display. gorgeous! for the "low-end" stuff. hehehe

I think it confirms my theory.. our market here is all about mass market..
rather than the "finest" that can be made.

So in search of the good stuff here is the hunt for the middle ground..
Stuff that's affordable, but with as much of the nice high-Q guts that they'll allow in the US market, maybe.

Beautiful faceplates.. If the components are as serious, then they do love car audio over there.

Very nice! If only they would bring the good stuff to the states.:crap:

Well, the P9 setup that they offer is here.. somewhat.
I think the issue with this ODR stuff is that it would be 1% of 1% of the market... No volume. At the income-level target, how many are into high-end car audio in the states? There's a very very slim market for it.

Plus I think our market isn't into "everything the same brand" as a rule.
Who has brand-X head unit, amps, processing, speakers, sub?

So I can see too many reasons why this system wouldn't even be offered.. no buyers.

There's an imaginary crossover point of disposable income, high-end enthusiasm, etc... It's a black hole above a certain point... Otherwise, Zapco would be selling 50 times the number of stuff and clarion would offer 4 different versions based on the 9255 level of head units.

Same reasons why there's only two real 2 channel SQ head units on the market at the moment in the states at all and about as many high-end processors offered..

And for processors, they have to couple them to in-car surround capability to have a large enough audience looking at them.

Plus, I think we do have more offerings in what's important to us.. Convergience: DVD, Bluetooth, Sat radio, High-Def radio, DVD 5.1, rear-view cams, etc.. So high-end audio is just one itty bitty part of it.

I disagree. It seems like the average person who walks out of a mid-level audio shop leaves with an all alpine system (HU, sub, amp, coaxials etc). On the forums though we shy away from it because we realize one company does not make the best of everything.

Yeah the quest for better digital file manipulation of a large library was driving my decision to save for the upcoming top of the line Kenwood (my Blaupunkt Memphis is horrible in that regard).

But I realized that for a couple of hundred more I could put together a kickin' car PC (I already have the laptop which I rarely use). It'll be easy and cheap later to add navigation, and my minivan has lots of options for mounting with security and cooling in mind.

Nice, I'd love it.

210,000 JPY = 1700 USD. :crap:
