Hey guys whats up. I have a friend that can make me a box, but i'm lookin for a box design he can work off of. Im lookin into a ported box. My subs are Fi SSD 10 with flatwind coil. I listen to everything but more into Rap and techno the most. I have them in a ported box but its too small (air Space) for my subs. I think 3+ cuft box is what im aimin for (SQ). And also whats the advantage of haven a big mouth port then a slim one.

Thanks guys

its all about personal preference..have you had a ported box before?

do you like really llooww bass..or the higher bass?

if you dont know ill set you in the middle to give you alittle of each

what are the dimensions you have to work with? or you just want me to design one?

want me to aim you at like 32 to 33hz? thats what Fi reccomends..but that doesnt really matter. 30? you tell me.

i had mine at 37-38hz. but thats what im used to.

i have one all made up...your sittin at 30.3hz with 3.2ft^3 before sub displacements..AFTER port displace.

box width is 40 wide by 11 deep by 20 tall with a 4 in wide port

that ok? ill send you all the dims when i get back from class. i get out at like 8:30

trust me..with the 11 deep thats where youll mount your subs..the surrounds will be right even with the sides..it works :)

subs and port firing up, single chamber :fyi:

port wall 2: 7 inches (the one that goes across the box)
^^with a 4 inch wide port

box volume: 3.2
hz: 30.3

Box:

40x20
40x20

i dunno about that man. lowes or home depot wont do it anymore because during the hurricanes people took advantage of the free cuts and got all their boards cut to window size..all the multimillion dollar houses beachside with 40 windows per house. so they dont do it anymore.

get a jigsaw?! gunna take forever..but itll do it.

no prob on the box design tho...people usualy charge $10-$15 per box design..but people have helped me out and designed for me in the past for free..so now i gotta pass that along
