I know I've heard of one deck that is capable of reading DVD mp3's. I really want to burn lots of high quality mp3's (i know its an oxymoron) ripped at 320kbps to one DVD otherwise with a lot of my music (believe it or not I buy most of my music) and I can't stand low quality (i.e. anything under 256kbps) but a 700MB cd makes me have to split up discography into, sometimes 3-4cds and it would be great to have an entire Primus discography on 1 dvd. Any suggestions or pointers would be awesome. Price limit of $250 but if its really worth it and it has the feature I will save up more.

I believe it was Kenwood, but dont quote me on that.

Cd's should be ripped in VBR. It is the standard all ripping groups use. It makes a exact copy of the original without making such a large file. Besides ripping anything past 192 is pointless.

^ Not necessarily true. You can tell a difference at high volumes. But in car, it's negligible. However, if the car is not running or you're sitting in the house listening, the difference is noticeable.

Heres a DVD HU that plays MP3's burned onto DVD, but its about $80 more than your $250 limit-

The volume is noticeable. I can tell the difference clear as day between 128 and 256
There isn't much of a difference between 192 and above, other than volume levels being better/louder when you rip at 256kb. Or I'm crazy and my ears are lying to me (they do that sometimes you know). Either way, I really want to know what HU will read dvd mp3's (both me and my buddy want to know).
