Local Apline dealer told me verbatim: "They are supposed to be out this month, but knowing Alpine, we should expect to see them in June-July."

I'm very curoius about this set, as well.

According to Alpine...they will be available in June (just wouldn't say when in June).

who cares, they are going to be way overpriced for drivers that Alpine doesn't manufacture anyways.

They are likely derivatives of the ScanSpeak Revelators (http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=45_228_256&products_id=929&osCsid=9740e96d0be96f975a3fcc08bdbbe6f8).

Vifa makes the X tweeter out now I think

Vifa always made the X tweeters (XT19).

and those are some **** good speakers, I think a version goes into magico mini's 22,000.00 home speakers(looks like it has a aluminum coating), this could be a really nice set of comps

Exactly what I was thinking. Can hardly wait until reviews and user experiences start to surface.

Saw these in the latest issue of Car Audio. MSRP $650. They are comps that can apparently be converted into coaxials for install flexibility.

If the MSRP is correct, then that is going to be a steal for those comps. The OEM version of that tweeter is about 350-400 dollars EACH. Might have to hit up a local Alpine dealer and see if they have some to audition.

Also, if you want to be technical, Vifa is no longer, it's now the Peerless V-line. Same speakers, just renamed.

I can't wait to hear these, either! Seems Alpine's really tightening up their game against the competition.

Quick update:

Just got of the phone with John Henry (founder/owner of Metro Audio Dynamics here in Omaha) and he said that they've had them on order since February and don't expect to see them until late this month or early next month. Bummer.....
