I really need new tires for my S-10. So I thought I should just buy some rims while I am at it.

Also going for a 4-6 drop. It's gonna be a fun summer.

Problem is finding low profile (60 series) and RWL.

my friend has some rims like that on his lifted jeep. I don think they'd look too hot on a lowered truck IMO.

but whatever you like...

I wasn't too sure about them. I figured for $200/set I couldn't go wrong for temporary use if I don't like them.

I love S10's. I would skip the RWL though. I think they look too hillbillyish, what size rims? 15?

Flipx99
05-23-2007, 09:30 PM
They are 15s.

I don't really care for flashy 20s with diamonds. I like something more classic looking.

Thanks for the comments though,

I am good with numbers. I do not see the connection.

If you spend an extra like $50 and get some nice locking nuts, they no stealie stealie. (well they won't steal them easily)

I looked at several rims. I wanted something in a 15 that was chrome and inexpensive. This fit the bill.

Have you ever priced 20" tires? There is no way in hell I am going to pay $600 in tires every two years. Even 17 where more expensive than I wanted to spend.

I think they are nice and simple. If anyone has any suggestions for something I may get later in life, I will be glad to see. Nothing flashy, 15", and needs to be chrome and I won't spend more than $400.

Yea I really have. And the prices are high, But I think I will bite the bullet and pay around 1200.

But hey, if you like them. You like them. In the end your decision is the only one that matters.

I thought about 16s pretty seriously. The tires aren't much more expensive. I actually wanted these in a 16 but they don't sell them. They do sell them in a 17.

I like them, they will look alright, but its more of a performance look with the Cragar's/

Why not just save the 400 bucks to put towards something a little nicer down the road. I mean if you want the rims, you are gonna get them no matter what we say, but its just all our opinion anyway and you know what they say about that. I just think you need something a little bigger and better style. Check into discount tire or tire rack. Tire rack will let you see your dime with each set on there. Just trying to help out. Also dont take those rims through the winter or else you will be lucky to get 1 whole year out of them. They rust like a bish!

I was hoping to get some suggestions on the next set.

Well, they shall be delivered when I get home. The shipping weight is about 20lbs/rim. Nice and lightweight.

My 22" rims weigh less than 30 pounds... not much weight to them

The Centerline's are rather light as well. I really want to do those Voltage rims but I just couldn't justify the price. I wanted the 4/5 more. If you didn't already know I am registered on s10forum and I'll post a log

Tire prices are reasonable within those sizes however once you get towards 18" tires the price goes up substancially (sp?)!

Here are the photos. I am also lowering it. I value lowering it more than the bigger wheel.

Well like I said, I hope you have winter rims otherwise you better not let salt get to them or you will be pissed. Dad had same rims on his dime and drove them through one year and were rusted to hell and back.
