I've been trying to narrow down midbasses lately and I just can't. I came up on a set of DLS ur6 mid drivers (not comp set) for $150, used.
I’ve looked at the kicker rmb8’s but they’re too large. I’ve looked at Peerless SLS 7” drivers, but they have a very low Q, and I’m worried I’ll run into the same problem I had before with my Seas driver. I’ve also considered the Dayton RS180, Adire SF7, and a couple others.
So…does anyone have opinions on the DLS ur6 as a DEDICATED midbass? I only need it to play from 70-400hz, and no higher…maybe even lower. My doors are heavily deadened with 2 layers of ensolite in addition to 4 layers of deadener total.
Opinions?
