View Full Version : Looking for some comps any recomendations
hey
i need to find a set of 6.5inch comps that are gona be able to handle 250rms, i was looking at the rainbow SLC265 kick but people have said the highs arent very high so i was realy looking for some realy good speakers that are clear and loud with the vocals and highs.
i mainly listen to hip hop so does this mean that im not going to benifit from some realy good quality SQ speakers oh yeah my budget is $350 but im willing to stretch it for the right speakers
thanks for the help

Sounds like the CMX should be a consideration.
would the MB quart QSD 216 comps be any good with 250rms and would they perform well with hip hop, as i know its not the best music for showing off your SQ equipment but i can get them for a reasonable price

Go with the SLC265Kicks. The highs will be more than adequate.

Focals sound rele nice with hip hop, i might get some Focals in the future!
and MB Quart are good but were not made for bassy hip hop IMO, but they deff sound great regardless lol
but the SLC's from what i hear are really nice speakers!!!!
would the rainbows take 250rms daily as i rekon i would buy them or the kick version but whats the difference?????
which focals have you got in mind

id say rainbow cmx kicks...that would be right at your budget...pm premier audio for exact prices. If not the kicks then the straight cmx 265s...

boston pro 60's. they'll absolutely rip, and handle that power all day and ask for more. a bit more expensive than that if you buy from an authorized retailer, but worth it IMO.
