mounting diameter is only like 5 5/8 " ? y not?
I think you missed the upfiring part. Meaning subs on top of the box facing up.

to do the calculations correctly for a good ported box will take someone some time,
time = money
$5 is not enough imo.
i paid $40 for a design recently, the guy took nto acount my sub, max dimensions, power available, vehicle box was going into, and sq/spl % preference.
needless to say the box is exactly what i wanted, and performs better than i could have imagined.
i would pay the same guy $40 in a heartbeat for aother design if and when i need it.
if anything is off in the design process, your bass will be cr@p until you get another box.

x2
i paid $35 for the design of my series parallel bandpass. he took into account for the subs, power, what i wanted it to do, and everything. all the equiptment i've got, and that was the best money i've ever spent on my system, and i would easily pay double for a design from the same person...we might even be talking about the same person, mind telling who it is. i got mine from hexibass from team toxic bass.

You dont need to if you cut on the waste side of the line.

There should be enough margin to compensate for kerf width. You don't draw all the lines on at once, you measure each section after each rip or cut.

the ports are awfully close to the wall

same as the port width, they're where they are supposed to be.
Price should go up for that.
