Getting a Kicker sx600.2, Looking for some comps that can take the 150 watts/ channel at about 200 shipped. Ive been refered to Crystal sscs6's and they look good but I hear they've been having warranty issues. what is available that can compete? I've seen some websites selling Phoenix gold xenon x6.5 comps still new for 130 shipped would they compete?

You could look into the pioneer premier 720 prs. They've been getting great reviews and are supposed to be better than the sscs. But they are a little out of your price range. I just bought some and an sx500.2 to power them but havent got them installed yet so i can't say for sure.

Pioneer 720prs or look in to the Phoenix Gold RSD65cs.

The PG's can take it and then some, midbass is the best I've ever heard, tweets are so-so at best.

Aren't the PG rsd's rated at 70w rms?

I had the eDi 6500's on 150rms for a long time with no problems, and they sounded great. This coming from a guy who's not an eD fan at all.

My SPX's took 150 all day long, not a problem!

Anyone else un-happy with the PG rsd tweeters?

So far I'm tossed up between the Crystals and either alpine's new SPR-17s, also if you were able to buy the alpine's for about $120 cheaper than you could get them locally would you do it knowing you'd be screwed as far as warranty goes?

Yes. I'd do it because if it blows just take the $120 you saved and buy a new set of comps hehe.
