OK I am going to make a 4.2 cu.ft box for my car (in the trunk) and I was thinking
the sub will be on a 45 degree angle I was thinking that what if I put the ports
on the back of the box firing in to the cab will I gain SPL/lose SPL ...O and will it keep the trunk from rattling as bad..O and the sub will be firing in to the trunk
if I do sub back ports back the ports will be on a 45 to
O and the sub is a mj-18
think'you.....JEREMIAH:)

No that would ****...u could try subs forward and ports back that may work..... but from what i seen...subs forward and port forward or drivers side or pass...is the best.....seal it off if u can/ if not push it all the way to the trunk facing forward should be best....good luck

egg crate foam padding (wal-mart, bedding section) will help the rattles. stuff it in between the pannels.
