I'm looking to stick an alarm in my contour. Was looking at the viper 5900 but the thing is, I'm not sure it will work with my car. I have manual locks and windows.
Would this cause a problem?
Does this alarm look compatible with my car?
If possible I want to install it myself. How hard would it to be install? I'm not a pro but I'm not an idiot either, I've installed everything in my sig myself. Thanks

just about any alarm will work with your car and it will be easier.no door locks to wire.
you'll have a hot and ground,parking light,siren,door-hood-trunk trigger,shock sensor,and starter kill to hook up.
makes it alot easier if you search around and find the wiring codes for your car.
my buddy at work got the clifford 50.5x,same thing, paid 500 installed.
i just had a autopage rs-1000 installed for 400.

well I was hoping to save some money and do it myself...if I have a manual trunk release, I heard there was a way to convert it to use a button...true?
