so needless to say i go to Magnolia Hifi (a local store around by my house) which is going out of business...Go to check it out, of course, cuz they have some good deals.

When i got their...they had buy 1 get one free (speakers). They had no good 6.5's left (except pro60's, but they were 400 dollars) and i didn't want, need or have enough money for them.

So what turned into a rear speaker tryout became:

(excuse the camera phone pictures, my camera is dead and i have no batteries)

can't beat 170 authorized for 2 sets of 6x9 revs.

So i put some in my rear speaker locations...their more or less 5x7 (thanks crutchfield for saying 6x9) since the speakers before then were about .5 " in depth (no joke, the magnet was about 1" big, .5" deep)

anyway, had to do some work to the metal, etc, and i got them in. I have no sub running, or no front stage (only the rear rev's running on deck power) and they sound really really good. Not up to snuff with my SLC's or anything...but they still sound very good for 6x9 coaxil's.

I have my EQ on bass WAY up (+8) but i have no sub, so again, i need some bass. They don't distort when i turn it up, and it hurts my ears too much before i can turn it up loud enough to distort.

Highs are clear, but not harsh. Mids are good too. A little muddy (prob. because of the massive EQ and the fact that their 5 ft away from my ears) but for a 6x9, they are very nice.

For someone looking on a budget system, I'd recommend a REV front and rear stage hands down. Good job Pioneer!

One Other Note- Those crossover's on them are f***ing HUGE. Instead of being an oval on the crossover side, their more like a frekin cylinder and i had to cut metal just to get the crossover inside the hole. They are also deep, about 3.5" (thanks again crutchfield, you said i had 2.9" to work with) So they can't be used in all applications, but if you need bass get a sub. Or two. Or three. Or four.

Good budget speaker!
