i've had a question about these types of claimshell enclosures for a while now.... couldn't the port of this type of enclosure be considered an external port? I know you can figure it as an internal as well, but here is a quick pic i drew up on paint to explain my point... wouldn't the red dotted line be the begining of the port, and the green dotted line be the end??? :confused:

also, wouldn't an external port be easier to calculate considering you don't have to account for port displacement?:crap:

Calculate it however it works for you. The length doesn't change if the port is internal or external. It's only a matter of semantics, not physics that differentiates internal and external ports.
