Table saw with the blade height not quite as high as the thickness of the board...

Well I mean, I do that for every box I make. There isn't a jig or something? If not, nice dedication :)

So, you cut a depth into the MDF evenly spaced? Did you have any trouble with bending it or it looking like it might fray, chip, etc?
