Hey all. What size of box do you think I should put together for a 12'' type r? I will be using it daily so also what do you think it should be tuned at? Maybe around 35?
EDIT: It will be a ported box obviously

Mine is in 1.75 @32
Most will say 2.2 @32hz...I could not fit that in my trunk!

How much power do you have running to yours, and how loud is it?

All that I am really lookin for is for it to hit the lows pretty hard...Would a larger box tuned the same as a smaller box accomplish this?

the larger enclosure will have an extended frequency response compared to the smaller enclosure, even if they're both tuned at the same frequency.
for that particular sub, i would go with a 2.5cu.ft @31Hz, it frequency response will extend down to an F3:25Hz and will cover up to 80Hz and above. it will sound great with pretty much any song you trough at it.

2-2.5 cubes, tuned to 30-35, use aeroports if possible. I would stay in this range for daily driving.
