What kinda design should i go with??

I own a 300m and am using two 12" kicker cvr subs and i want to make a ported box.. But i dunno what i should go with??

1.) Subs & Port facing hatch
2.) subs facing up with port to hatch..
3.) your opinion goes here _____________ :)

number 1, subs wouldnt sound too good facing up in a trunked vehicle
