Do you thinks these would be loud enough to help balance out the bass from my 15" SSD? My door speakers are stock and you can barely if not hear them at all.

Do they sound good without an amp or is it really worth putting an amp with them? Also if I have a limited mounting depth do I need to make sure I have extra romm so when the back of the speaker moves?

get .75" spacers and amping them is a must for your purposes...

Your stock speakers may even be louder than the rainbows because they would be both receiving aboug 20rms. You definitely need an amp that puts out about 100-150rms, then put them in a nicely deadened door and you should be very happy.

What exactly are the spacers metioned earlier that I need? Wouldnt they not work casue it lifts the speaker off the door thefore not creating a seal?

I agree he just completely made himself look like an idiot.:suicide:

MDF Spacers, you seal them to the door, then you seal the speakers to the spacers. O' and you might want to throw some sound deadner in there to help out, just a thought. By the way sealing does not mean glue them to the door or speaker and sound deadning is not fiberglass insulation product from Lowe's.

In my mind spacers were like large washers, I guess the mdf spacers your talking bout are like a ring the size of the speaker. Hopefully that makes sence. I do know what proper sound deadner is and I wouldnt use insulation from lowes...lol. Should I just deaden the whole door or is part of it only neccesary?

Use the search function at the top under page banner, left of quick links. It will give you everything you need on this forum on what your questions are. Then if you got questions or need specific clarification just ask and we will answer nicely. At least I will.

To quick answers:MDF=Medium Density Fiber Board
Sound proofing/deadning=use it to get better SQ

Easy there, pilgrim. This type of question has been asked a million times over. There is a sticky at the top of the thread dedicated to deadening. If you're going to spend the money on a nice set of speakers, deadening is completely necessary. We have no problem answering questions. Just quit being lazy and do a search before you post so you avoid asking unnecessary questions.

I agree with you but isnt this forum here so we can ask questions? Calling noobs lazy for not searching is just as bad as you guys not answering. When we ask questions we want answers but yall want us to search cause there most likely already asked. We both want and neither of us want to give so it results in everyone arguing. Im done now I just wanted to voice my opinion since I see this happen all the time. I will now go look at the sticky on deadening.

Most of us are more than willing to help. But answering the same questions twice a day gets a bit tedious. That is all.

Yeah i'm sure it does. Also it didnt help that a while ago my parents pissed me off and got me in a bad mood already.

Tough life. I feel like 1 out of 3 threads turn into these arguments now. Ugh, you had a question about deadening so we pointed you to a thread that explains everything you want. A thank you would have sufficed.

I'm still a neeb here and to car audio ,maybe we don't know exactly how the board works or what has been asked before so we ask. By the way where can I get Rainbows or is that question like a poke in the eye with a pointed stick?
