well the MECA event was today, and it was my first time competing.
i met another CA member there, i think his user is cartronics.
he took home alot of trophies.
i was in street 3 and took first place 140.0 on TL metered at headrest.

but danny hays wasn't there but his dad brought the 1950 modle chevy pannel wagon.
he did a 172.4 and i got some pics of it since it's the second loudest in the USA

this thing is very uneak for an SPL vehicle, looks super kool, and has 2" lexan windows. when he burped 172 you could bearly hear it out side of the vehicle.

headrest measurement levels the playing field. :)

At least I think so.

Wish I could have made it down for the show, it was hosted by a pair of my teammates (stacy and angela adams). But a 6 hour drive and no money held me back. :(

What I really can't wait for is when audio hits the max limits of DB. I think the new goal will have to be to max out the DB with the least amount of power. Getting closer and closer every year, I know were still a bit off, but still I can see it happening in my lifetime.

:uhoh:

It's the only thing I got around here, so I deal with them!

Although I'm going to hopefully be dabbling in bassrace this year. ;)

You mean 194 dB???

I don't see that happening in my lifetime, by normal car audio means...

A couple hours, sure. Like I said, I'll be dabbling in bassrace this year. :)

But to already have 9 MECA shows (soon to be more) within an hour and a half of my house is what leads me to compete in MECA.

Its still far off, but huge progress is being made, I think it could happen, or get darn close to it. I plan to live to about 90 or so, so I have 65 years to see if I'm right. :D
