now give or take like shipping and all that but id like to spend about 100 on a set of components (6.5") and another 100 on some 6x9's for the rear.

Also, i like to match so preferably a matching set with an amp that i could run them off would be great.

THanks for the input!

Orders those CDTs and they will likely upgrade you to the CL-61a's for free.

Forget the 6x9's in the back, and put the extra $100 in the front stage :)

x2

With the $200, I think you would be close to the prs720s

$200 opens things up to a lot of good options...the Crystals, Rainbow SLC's, Memphis Sync's, lower end Focals, etc.

I wouldn't trust buying the lower end focals over the net. I hear they more like "rocals" or something unless you can find a real dealer.

I ordered the CDT's and they sent me CL-61'a instead, for $100 shipped, not a bad prices at all and CDT is great(so ive heard) for the price

What are you running for a system? HU, amp(s), sub?

Do you actually want full range out of the back or are you just looking for a little more bass output? Do you have a sub that may interfer with the rear speakers? (i.e. beating the tar out of them) Will these be amped or unamped? Are you willing to buy an amp if it costs, say $80?

A couple affordable options that come to mind is Cadence CWM6 component set and Phoenix Gold's RSD component set. Both of those can be had for under $100. For the rear, it depends... It depends on what you're trying to achieve by running rear speakers. If you want full range for rear passangers and don't mind sacrificing sound quality/staging in the process, fine. If you're just looking for more bass output than the 6.5" woofers will give, then you should look more for a midbass specific woofer rather than a full range one. You can make a wood spacer/mount that will allow you to run anywhere between 6.5" and 8" to maybe even 10" woofers up under the rear deck, however much space you have available underneith widthwise(front to back). This can progress as far as IB subs if you want, a nice route if you don't want to give up trunk space. Again, the choice depends on what you're trying to do.

Will subs be going back in? If so, you might want to forgo rear deck speakers.

Some decent well amped front speakers can get quite loud.

If you are wanting some 6.5" speakers pm me. I have 1 set of pioneer ts-a1681r and alpine type s that I could make you a deal on.

Best of luck,

Darren

i think i may be going with the focals, 229.99

and focals in the rear if i decide to not put the subs back in.

but i do love that bass, lmao

I have heard the Phoenix Gold RSD components are very good for the price point (also supose to have very good mid bass). I would probably try those if I was looking to spend $100.
