These are the speakers I want to get. I have heard them a few times and for the price they are great.

I just want to know if there is anyway I can add in a midrange speaker. Maybe a 3 or 4" to fill out the sound a little better. Any suggestions?

Maybe wait until the new Type X's are released. They'll be a Reference line and a Pro line. Not sure what the price differences will be.

I didnt think there would be a way to do such a thing, but just wanted to check. So with these speakers, how well would they sound if they were powered by the head unit only... until i get a little more money and get an amp?

Thanks.
H/U power is an oxymoron and shouldn't be used for anything.

You get those amped up and they will sound good. Looks like they handle quite alot of power. 165.00 Looks good!
