Which one should I get. I can get either one for the same price right now.

(brand new) Diamond Audio M361 (http://www.caraudiofield.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2379) or Mb Quart RSC216 (http://www.discountave.net/rsmbquar65re.html) (used)

The MB references are really nice speakers, I have not listened to those diamonds but I also like diamond.

Warranty may be a thing that comes up for the mb's in this case and I have to say they are great about warranty even on used products. That being said I'd probably go with the mb's.

I love MB Quart, but honestly, you can't go wrong with either.

I have an older set of MB Quart reference, from when they were still handmade in Germany. I'll never get rid of them. I love how they sound. Crisp, detailed, strong mid-bass plus the new maxxsonics customer service is top notch. I didnt even have a set they produce but they still sent me free flush mount rings when I needed some...

So, everyone is saying that they rather get the MB Quarts?

If your spending that much...step up to the premium (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13544)

IIRC, the PCE216 were models that were still made in Germany. They're older models, but very good ones.

That's a huge price difference though.

oo...didn't notice the used part, my bad. I wish I knew how old the RSC was. The newer stuff is RVF, and before that, RCE...

Ok, it seems like I'm getting the MB Quarts.

So, no one has ever tried the Diamond Audio 6.5's? (M361)

No, but I do have 2 sets of the old school MB reference 6.5 comps. They rock.. I just found this out 7 yrs later after I finally put some real power to them. ****, I have my kenwood 150x2, old sub amp to 2 of them and they take it and want more.:p:

Those are bottom of the line sets. Can you swing OZ Vectors at woofersetc.com for around $100 ?

Are you talking about the Diamonds? Do you know if those Diamonds are going to be better than those MB Quarts?

- What i am saying is that those Quarts and diamonds you are looking at are bottom of the line and overpriced compared to the OZ Vector for the sound quality.

Like another poster said, if you could get into the Quart premium line, or the Diamond 6 line, that would be good.

It's like going to a Chevy dealer because they make the Corvette... but because you can't afford the Vette, you buy a Chevette (economy car). Sometimes you can get a better deal by going to another brand. Do you smell what I'm cooking?! :D

I've never even heard of ''OZ Vectors''. I checked that Woofersetc site. But I only found ''OZ Audio''. Are they the same?

BTW, I've owned MBQ Premium and Discus (Discus is their bottom line, not reference) and I was impressed by both. I got a Discus component set for $80 on clearance at Tweeter. They sounded great, especially for such a low price tag.

Diamonds tend to lack a little midbass. MBQs tend to have pretty harsh tweeters. I'd just look somewhere else.
