I have yet to get a set of comps in my car, and I am really wanting more than what my stock speakers can offer. Due to being laid off recently, I don't want to spend much money on a new set of components. So, I have a couple questions....
Could I run some Dayton Reference mids off of the front channel of my x200.4, considering I watch the gains carefully?
Since I don't want to buy a crossover, and don't know how to make one, would it be possible to run some tweets off of my HU(Pioneer DEH-P6800MP)? The rear channel of the amp is bridged, powering a sub.
Any other cheap mids you fellahs would recommend? I have limited space, so shallow would be nice. 5.25", or I could get some 6.5" to fit.
How about tweeters?
Any cheap component sets that will give me great sound quality for cheap?
Any yes.... I searched, for a while. And couldn't find what I wanted....:furious:

:
- Madisound car system, $120, Pioneer Rev, and OZ Audio Vector.. the vector speakers are -/+ 2 db on the low end frequency response, +/- 1.5 db on the high frequencies... unusually good crossover on a set for only $105 ... I believe they are available at onlinecarstereo.com

That Xenon will power the Daytons nicely, watch your gains and enjoy the headroom. I'd really recommend picking up a cheap amp with a HP for your tweets though. You "could" run them off of your headunit with a passive, but you will have absolutely no control and buying a used 30wx2 or larger amp used with a crossover should be had for less than $50.
