oh, and could it be adapted for different size subs (8's in my case)
It sounds excellent...I heard it with 10" drivers.
You could scale it to whatever size speakers you have...

JIM, is it a SQ type enclosure or more SPL?
SQ...but it's capable of pretty decent output :)

so IF I built it and put 2 RE8's in it, it would sound good, but I don't think it would fit in my trunk...may have to measure...lol
