Box is for a Type R 12". Were going with 2.5 @ 35 hz. Only problem is, its going in a BMW, so we have pretty limited space. We are going with a slanted back to allow us to move the box deeper into the trunk. Thanks to IonSQL for the bad *** design. This will be a fun project.
Heres a look at the design....

All pics of some assembly are just a dry fit, to make sure I cut everything correctly. The only parts that have been attached are those port pieces you see. More pics will come tomorrow during assembly.

Curious? What made this build more difficult then the other ones you have done??

In pics 5 & 6, you rounded the longer edge of the second port wall, or you going to roundover the other 3 as well?

Lookin' good BJ!

The double baffle isn't a function of the sub being a Type R... there just isn't much room to mount the sub without drilling into the end of MDF and take a chance of splitting when the sub is installed.

It's just there for extra mounting thickness :D

With the slanted back, and the way the port is. Not real difficult, just a lot more out of the ordinary from what Im used to.

Yep, they will all get rouded over eventually.

I love my new router. I can lock it or it can be a plunge router. I have 10 different speeds and can adjust it in any way I want. It also has the option to be bolted to a table. It only accepts 1/4" Shanks though. Feggy B&D. In conclusion, I love my new router.

Black and Decker
10a 1/4" Shank

The best router Home Depot had that wasnt 1/2'' shank only.

Havent forgot about this project. Its been cold as **** here lately, and finally warming up. The weather guys have been talking about it warming up soon, so I wanted to wait to carpet the box. Supposed to apply the glue at above 60*, and since it cant pick it up until this weekend, I thought it best to wait.
Hopefully Ill have finished pics up tomorrow.
