well first off your not going to get much sq from it. biuld a 2.5 cube after all displacement tuned to 34 should sound so-so and get loud

new woofer for sure, new amp would help too. ditch the bahn, it may get loud, but it'll probly sound like garbage unless you get everything else 100% perfect in the install.....if you stick wiht that sub do the box mike dressure recommends and it should sound good enough. but if you get a better driver and better amp itll be a night and day differance in quality, and probly spl too....

get yourself an older RE xxx 15 and throw it in 4cubs @28hz off that brutus and itll sound like audio crack. loud, clean, wide range of bass response, and murderous lows....

what are the max dimensions available for the enclosure to fit?
what kind of vehicle is the enclosure going to be in?

2.5cuft @33Hz should yield low end bass 25Hz with some upper bass support 80Hz.

Best advice is to go to a different forum.

compared to what you have to offer to this forum, any advice i give will be more then the best advice you can ever come up with.

You are going to need a sealed box. A ported enclosure would just get ripped to shreds by that PHAT 2" foam surround and ungodly powerful bolt-tight motor structure. You minus whale make it from concrete.
