Hi,

I searched but couldn't find the answer or a tutorial...

1) Do you simply drill a hole a little wider then the diameter of the all-thead and use the washers to seal the hole (when you torque down the screws)?

2) What do you use to cut the excess all-thread? I'll probably just by a hacksaw...

Thanks fellars!!!

Silicone to seal them up
dremel, jigsaw, sawzall, hacksaw, whatever you can get your hands on

hacksaw would work fine

You could always make it actual width and just hammer it in to make it snug

I picked up some 3/8" round and 36" long all-threads from HD @ $2.57 each.

That's cheaper then the dowels I was using before...

It is a pain though...but so are dowels....

All thread definitely is better at bracing...
