try using 3/4" mdf for the bottom back and sides and then glass the front, or something along those lines

if you have never made a box before i do not suggest that you do fiberglass for the first time and wood working for the first time together. Make a few boxes then think about doing some really nice custom work

You're starting a car audio company and don't know what kind of wood to use? Maybe you should do a bit of research first....just a word of friendly business advice.

build some boxes out of MDF to get the feel for it, and when you get one you like, just fiberglass over the top of it. I been thinking about fiberglassing over a wood enclosure to see how it comes out.
