Saw this same model at wal-mart. didnt have a price marked and wasnt there long enough to check. But if it was cheap does anyone think it would be worth it just to build boxes? yes fyi i know not to buy tools from walmart lol

i spent like 250 bucks at sears and got one that has a guide big enuf to cut 40 inches :)

i know nothing about table saws and seeing one at walmart made me wonder if it was worth it or not i got some extra bday money so may see wat it costs, hey its walmart u can always take it back :) lol

I see good, cast iron tablesaws for cheap on Craigslist all the time. I would look there first. Even Ebay will have some good deals because they are too heavy to ship and they only sell local.

Honestly, those portable table saws are a lot like car audio speakers: There are only a few companies that actually MAKE them but hundreds that put their name on them. The problem is that there are only a couple of companies that make GOOD ones and you don't know who made that one.

I am sure it will cut wood just fine. Problem I see is on larger cuts and larger pieces of wood. It will get tricky. But hey it's better than nothing.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy it. It seems rather small and cheap. Big cuts would be a pain. It looks like the top is 24x36

I wouldn't trade my BnD orbital sander for anything else. It's my favorite tool, and has never let me down.
