I have the dei 871xp...Its pretty decent, ive never had any trouble with it but the range is TERRIBLE theres times im standing at the door of my truck and try to unlock the doors and it beeps that im out of range. I still havent been able to figure out what the problem is although it appears to be the somewhat cheap antenna or the solar tint across the top of the windshield.

are the python and viper alarms good?

Yes Python,Viper and Clifford are all pretty much the same..

For an actual full warranty they must be bought and installed by a dealer. Use the dealer locator to find a nearby one.

about all the climate control controls i have with my viper 791xv is i can turn the rear defroster off. but when u install the remote start u tap into wires that run ur climate. ur not able to raise or lower the heat or air with the remote, u set ur controls to the standard mode u like to a comfy temp and when u start the car it will run that mode and temp. and get a DEI brand if ur gonna get anything, and have a shop do it kuz i take it u dont know alot about them so that is the easiest for u.

I have installed a few of the Black Widow Z5 alarms. Remote start, two way paging, etc and you can find them online for around $150.

I've got a Compustar 2WSS-AS in my car. It's really nice and has pretty impressive range.

They've got a new model coming out this year with more features that's got an interior temp sensor, which is displayed on the remote.

www.compustar.org (http://www.compustar.org)

I think someone else has the temp. feature, but I forget who? Autopage?

i saw one recently that displayed the interal temp of your car, but that is about as advanced as i have seen.

DEI - Hornet/Valets have been doing that for a few years now. You can also set date/time/temp of when to start the car.

I have a Clifford Matrix 10.2x alarm system and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a remote starter preferably from Clifford that will work with my current system hopefully eliminating the need for a second remote. It is for a manual transmission.I have checked the Clifford site but they state the remote starters are for automatic tran. only. I have read in other forums that they do have them for manual tran but cannot find one.

Any help locating one or any info is appreciated!!

I have a Warlock WSR-2 and I love it as long as I am around my house or something. Other than that the range on it is pretty pitiful.

I have the Compustar 2WSS2 and love it. I replaced the antenna with a 5db external one and the range can't be beat. Installed the alarm was about $600. But don't forget, when you have and certified reseller install a compustar it is warrantied for life.

And to hardhitta47; yes Autopage has the inside temp. I used to have one of those as well a while ago and the range was not that great.

If anything it would be the other way around. Only difference between G4 and G5 is age. The Solaris for manual trannies has been long time discontinued and was around when the G4 lineup was.

I wouldn't touch these guys with a ten foot pole...I've only heard bad things about them and their brains are cheaply made.
