Turbo whistle?

The stock turbo on my car makes a whistle sound when spooling up that should be normal correct. I have no aftermarket BOV.

and even if there's no BOV, there's still a diverter, which is audible to some degree, depending on whether or not the intake muffler is on the car, and how effective it is

I hate that spool up noise, it sounds so cheap. Especially sitting next to a n.a. big block V8.

By your post it seems that you dont belive that I own a Supra. Its not an MkIV you know its a freakin 1989 SUPRA!!!

I prefer the whine of a blower, but thats just me.

On a V8 GAS, yes supercharger whine is nicer.

On a V6 or smaller or a diesel, Turbo whistle is better.
