View Full Version : FS: Kenny Pollock's 1996 Chrysler LHS

Kenny Pollock

Well, I'm trying something out... call me crazy, whatever you say. If you want to flame, please direct them at my PM Inbox.

I have some big bills to pay and I am possibly working out a deal with my mom. She hates that I'm into the stereo, and is willing to help me finance a car if I can sell mine for a reasonable amount.

Let's put it this way, I have 5 grand in bills and a $5,000 down payment would be nice on a truck. It's a 1996 Chrysler LHS. I understand that most of you are going to tell me to part it out, but if I can't sell the car with the wall and equipment, I won't sell the car.

ASKING PRICE: $10,000

That's with the wall and everything in the car. My system is in my signature... I GUARANTEE you will get a large crowd around the car at any shows. If this car sells, I will be talking with my sponsors, and using the money to pay off the difference from the team price and the retail price.

It's a 3.5L V6 with a great year-old paint job. Has 135,000 miles, but runs great. I recently had the transmission cleaned big time and replaced the tranny pan gasket + filter.

DO NOT PM ME ASKING IF I WILL PART IT OUT, I WON'T </STORY>

I would keep the car.... My opinion....
I love it really, but I'll say this...
150 dB is too loud for a daily driver, and after taking into account my bills, I can't afford to drive 4 hours for every car show. Also, some factors that you guys will consider meaningless... my girlfriend hates my car; she loves pickup trucks, my mom is willing to help me finance a car, my parents would love the use of a large bed, all my friends drag their trucks... lots of things.

pics of the s10 :) ill come get it lol
No pics up, but I'm still not 100% decided on the S10. I will tell you that I am looking at a pickup truck for sure.

Kenny Pollock

Ill take your wiring if you part out :) Along with some batteriesWithout the system it'd be hard selling the car I'm thinking... and I'd hate to see one of the nicest walls I've laid eyes on torn down.

Kenny Pollock
01-13-2007, 01:52 AM
Too loud for a DD? NEVER. Just turn the volume downIf I keep the volume down (or bass) then I'd rather switch to my old trunk setup.

It'd be easier for me to sell the car then to get this wall out. Both physically and emotionally.

Friend and Family FTL lol. I hope you don't sell mostly cuz of them though.

But if you do part out I will be willing to buy 3/5 of your amps. (I got cash right now :D)

Drag...as in race? You are gonna by a truck to race it? You are gonna buy a truck because your current girlfriend would like it? You are gonna buy a truck so your parents can haul **** in it?

Like I said, those are little reasons... main reason is because I have bills to pay (due to me not taking care of the accident before the stereo) and that my mom would help me finance whatever I choose.

In any case... I'd sell the car, borrow my mom's car while I save some and then put a fat down payment on a truck.

Whatever you say there brother :) I love it, but... I have bills to pay... and car audio doesn't mean as much to me as paying my bills.

I'll admit, I have a problem... I start off small, and then try to be the best at everything I do. Reading your posts, I'd have to say that YOU are one of the dumbest people on the forum as well.

As much as I like the laying frame idea/look... it wouldn't be something I'd have the money to do for quite some time. It's just in the back of my head.

What I should do is buy a nice, newer truck... and leave it the hell alone for a while.

It caught up to me, I just wrote down all of the things my mom paid for to get my car back on the road (and looking good) after the accident + some other things I bought... and I'm near the $5,000 mark.

I really can't afford to keep the system.

Dont spend a ton of money for car payments. Your what 16? Your not even in college yet. Forget about selling the car, work your *** off in school, get a full ride to a college and use the tuition money to buy a car.

Kenny Pollock
01-13-2007, 02:38 AM
But its your first car and judging by the condition its in it will last for a few more years. Just use it, get a job(think you have one right?) pay your mom off first, and as I said just work hard in school and then when you go to college you should have enough for a pretty nice car and a few years of driving under your belt. The car will last for a long time... I know people with the same cars, they're well over 200,000 miles.

If I keep the car, I'm selling the system... and I think it'd be better to just sell the car to someone who could appreciate the stereo more instead of tearing out the wall.

x a bagillion

You spend a TON of money building this ridiculously huge setup with 2 18's, 4000-5000 watts of sub power, 6 batteries, and all that wiring, and now it's "too loud" for a daily driver?

Are you mentally retarded or something? What the hell did you expect it to be? I knew all this **** was bad from the beginning and I should have stayed out of it.

I don't even want to know how much you paid for that wall for what, a few hours of full-tilt use? What a complete waste of materials and time.

And now you say you hate bassrace and would rather do a street class? Are you really, REALLY retarded? At least in bassrace you could be competitive. In any street class, if you aren't doing at least a 156 I wouldn't even bother trying to be competitive on a regional level, let alone national.

All I can say is that I am completely disgusted by this entire thread.

as far as my 2 cents goes, kenny if this car sells why not just go buy a 1500 dollar 1990 honda accord that gets great gas mileage and you wont care if you run it into a tree or something and then keep saving and saving for whatever you want later. it seems a little silly to me for a 17 year old to be thinking about spending so much on a brand new truck. nothing wrong with sitting on a large sum of money in the bank.

As of right now, I have the luxury of "borrowing" my mom's car for a while, as long as I save my money for something better. That means, no insurance payment. Just gas.

man, after all that work!! but like it was said before, I doubt the car will sell on here, look at my van, no one has even showed any interest in it other than sayin nice van, and its pretty stout. Hmm, Ive got a truck you could buy----mine?!? 97 Ford F250 HD, with a 351w, extended cab longbed ;) hehe you could probably put the woofers in the back part and still keep the system, Im wondering if 2 18's would fit back there :up2somet:

Good luck with the sale man, hopefully it works out for ya, and Id go with driving your moms car for awhile, seems like a good deal, no insurance just gas :greedy: hehe save that cash, look into an ING account online, im getting 4.50% interest on my money in there, not a bad rate and you can take the money out whenever you need it, lemme know if you want some more info on it, talk to you later on---Don

selling a car because your girl doesnt like it, sounds like you need to check your female and let her know shes retarded. i would NEVER sell my car because someone just plain doesnt like it. its yours....not hers.

saywhat?
01-13-2007, 10:52 AM
oh and....to do a truck right....your gunna need to get more than 10k for the car. It's VERY easy to have 5k in just the suspension.

Kenny, if your going to spend the money on a truck and race it you might as well get something atleast half way fast. Because an s10 isn't going to cut it. If you get a truck and decide to race, hit me up and Ill come race you for a couple big bills truck to truck. ;) If your going to get a truck to race look into a 5.7 hemi regular cab or a 5.3 chevy regular cab. Im getting down the quater mile in 12.7 seconds with a 5.7 hemi stroked to a 6.1, programmer, headers, custom tune, Air-Ram intake, and cam.

I said drag as in bagging the truck, not racing ;)

wow...
i'm going to have to agree with Tommy on this one. 150 is too loud for a daily driver? what the hell did you expect it to do? a 135? I just have no comment at all, dissapointment at its finest.

Oh, I expected it... didn't expect it to hurt. BUT, flame away people :)

This was a for sale thread, but you guys want to dump in it, that's fine. When I have free time I will return the favors.

Main reason: I have bills to pay, end of thread

its his descision.

instead of caling him stupid, if you want to buy something for a pretty good price, then buy it.
i mean on a personal level i understand where he is coming from, i just wish it would have happened before all the hype started.

a lot of people are let down, me included, but that doesnt matter when someone has **** to take care of thats more important than your opinion.

car wont sell, so it does no good to clean up the thread, but if it isnt is bad shape, it may sell, without all the **** in the back.

guys serioussly, u always complain about kenny making to many threads and what not and you wonder now?

half of his fricken thread is full of *****ing and moaning about how stupid he is. If it doesn't pertain to the car being sold in a good sense or intrest for the car keep your mouth shut.

IMO, keep the car. Work hard, enjoy your slick ride... Save money for college, pay your bills.

I'm 21 and never owned anything that nice, I think you should at least enjoy it for awhile...
